EFF leader Julius Malema and other members of the party visited the Faith Gospel Church in Khutsong on Sunday.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, has accused the ANC of straying from its principles and original purpose. He says the ANC was not formed to just gain support in elections, but to give land back to its people.

Last week, the ANC agreed to engage further on its expropriation of land without compensation policy.

Malema addressed a church service at the Faith Gospel Church in Khutsong in Carletonville, West of Johannesburg

“They formed the ANC for the land. They didn’t form the ANC for elections. Our people were organised in their own communities and had their own leaders so there were no national elections. So one man, one vote came every late. They now think that is what we are fighting for. No, that is not the founding principles of our revolution. The revolution was formed for the land because the land is everything.”

Malema says the youth are partly responsible for leading a revolution. He says the issue of land is the big revolution that would free the country’s people from poverty.
