African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee member, Obed Bapela says the issue is still under discussion.

African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee member, Obed Bapela, says they are yet to discuss the call by the greater North West community for Premier Supra Mahumapelo to resign.

His statement comes after the ANC denounced the circulation of a “statement” reportedly issued by its’ Veterans’ League in the North West, saying it was false.

It states that the league supports the provincial community’s call for Supra Mahumapelo to be immediately relieved of his duties.

Bapela says, “We know there is an issue about the removal of the premier that matter is still under discussion. We will engage all the issues, including the voices of the people. We’ve heard those voices through media, some on the streets and others are writing to the top leadership of the ANC and as members of the party. We are going to be putting them on the table because they are all serious and we have to deal with them.”
