Reading Time: < 1 minute

The African National Congress (ANC) will hold its much anticipated NEC meeting in Pretoria on Monday morning.

This is the last meeting for the term of the current National Executive Committee members ahead of the party’s elective congress in the next two weeks.

Monday’s National Executive Committee meeting will finalise the program of the 54th National Congress slated for the Nasrec Expo Centre just outside Soweto in the next fortnight. It will also look at some of the outstanding PGCs before the congress.

So far at least seven provinces with the exception of KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo have finalised their PGCs and nominated their preferred presidential candidates and other top six officials.

Currently, a list of delegates to the congress hasn’t been finalised, but well over 5000 delegates are expected to attend the Nasrec gathering.
