Reading Time: 2 minutes

The special African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee meeting set to take place in Irene, Pretoria, this weekend, will discuss the fallout from the ‘Great Heist VBS report’ which has implicated some of its senior leaders.

The governing party denies ever receiving money directly from the bank but from its shareholder, Vele Investments. Some of its leaders in Limpopo have been fingered and the integrity committee has stepped in.

ANC Provincial Executive Council member in Limpopo, Polly Boshielo, says the provincial leadership is hopeful that the party’s NEC will take decisive actions against some leaders implicated in the VBS Mutual Bank looting.

ANC Provincial Treasurer Danny Msiza and Deputy Chairperson Florence Radzilani have been deeply implicated by the Reserve Bank report.

Boshielo has addressed hundreds of people who marched to Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality in Marble over municipal investment with VBS.

“ANC does not support corruption  and  we are going to deal decisively with people who are corrupt, we can’t allow the money of service delivery to be used for corrupt purposes come Monday run corruption run.”

Meanwhile the party says it will discuss all that involves Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba next Monday.
