Another African National Congress (ANC) leader in KwaZulu-Natal has been killed. The 42-year-old Sifiso Cele was branch treasurer for Ward 4 in Oshabeni area in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal south Coast.
The incident took place on Monday morning. Police say two men entered Cele’s home and shot him in front of his family.
It’s believed the Cele’s were preparing to take their children to school.
The two men entered their home and forced the whole family into a bathroom and ransacked the whole house.
Before taking Cele to his bedroom and shot him dead in full view of his family including children.
Police say nothing was taken from the house.
Cele’s killing is second in 2018 in the Lower South Coast region. Also Nombuso Mqadi – a member of Ward 5 ANC branch – was gunned down at home by unknown people.
