ANC NW signs coalition agreements with two opposition parties in Rustenburg:
This agreement means that the ANC and its coalition partners now hold 46 out of the 90 seats in the council.
Coordinator for the ANC Interim Provincial Committee , Hlomane Chauke, confirms the agreements signed.
“We can confirm that we have in fact reach some agreement and we have signed the contract with them in terms of working together. We are we are very happy in the Lekwa Teemane, we happy that we have sealed a deal there.
JB Marks again we are happy that we have again have an agreement, an agreement in place then in the Rustenburg, in fact we managed to work with very reliable and honest people.”
The parties that signed the coalition agreements say they entered into a pact with the ANC to advance service delivery.
A representative of Arona, Tumi Mokgatle, and Nombulelo Xatasi for the African Independent Congress…”Arona in Rustenburg local municipality has agreed with the ANC. We’ve put forward the principle objective that we believe in as Arona and they have been met, such issues that we raised are to do with ethical governance. We agreed upon with the ANC and the partners of coalition. The duration is five years, we just want them to give us the tools of trade. We cannot work without them.”
