ANC in Limpopo distances itself from alleged attack on BPSA’s bus

African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo has distanced itself from an incident where its supporters have allegedly pelted with stones and smashed windows of a bus carrying members of the Bolsheviks Party of South Africa (BPSA) in Moutse, Sekhukhune area.

The bus carrying members of BPSA was allegedly attacked on the Moutse Mall-Loskop road after the party’s manifesto launch on Saturday.

ANC spokesperson in the province Donald Selamolela says police must speedily investigate the matter.

Selamolela has called for political tolerance.

“Our members have confirmed that they have nothing to do with the incident, but we have however called for a speedy investigation into this matter because we are told that a case has already been opened with the South Africa Police Service in Dennelton. We are calling for the South African Police Service to investigate the matter so that it does not burn the image of elections. We have called as the African National Congress and we continue to call for the tolerance amongst political parties.”
