ANC in eThekwini not deterred by killing of ward candidate Siyabonga Mkhize

The African National Congress leadership in KwaZulu-Natal says its members will not stop conducting door-to-door campaigns following the brutal killing of its two members at Cato Crest west of Durban.

eThekwini ward 101 candidate Siyabonga Mkhize and another member were gunned down just after concluding a door-to-door campaign in the area yesterday evening.

Two others survived the attack. The ANC’s provincial spokesperson Nhlakanipho Ntombela says the party will continue conducting door-to-door campaigns especially in ward 101 – to ensure that the party wins the ward.

ANC calls on police to swiftly arrest those responsible for the murder 

The ANC leadership in KwaZulu-Natal is calling on police to act swiftly and arrest of those responsible for the brutal murder of its members ahead of the local government elections.  

The two were gunned down in their vehicle just after concluding their door-to-door campaign. Two others survived the attack.  

This is the second fatal attack on ANC members ahead of the November 1 elections.
