ANC fears backlash from fed-up South Africans: Action SA

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Action SA says the African National Congress’ court action, which seeks to re-open the  Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) registration process for candidates ahead of the October 27th elections, is proof the ANC fears a backlash from fed-up South Africans.

The ANC has claimed that technical problems on the IEC’s website had prevented the party from registering around 30 candidates.

Action SA says the Court must dismiss the ANC’s application with the contempt it deserves. It says South Africans are tired of the ANC’s corruption, looting and cadre deployment.

The party says, unlike the ANC, it is ready to contest the coming elections in October or in February next year and it is ready to restore South African’s faith in government.
