The African National Congress (ANC) has condemned remarks made by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, at Enock Mpianzi’s funeral on Saturday, accusing him of attempting to incite lawlessness.
Speaking at the funeral of the 13-year old Parktown Boys High pupil, Mbuyiseni said that foreign nationals living in South Africa should not be asked to provide documentation to prove their immigration status.
In a statement the ANC says Ndlozi’s comments is damaging to the cause of social cohesion and to government’s efforts to clamp down on illegal immigration.
The statement accuses Ndlozi of using the funeral to drive his own political agenda.
