Reading Time: < 1 minute

The ANC has apologised to the media after a journalist was barred from taking pictures of delegates at the party’s policy conference. “Its not our plan not to allow journalists to work. We have taken steps so that it does not happen again,” the ANC heads of policy, Jeff Radebe, told journalists at a media briefing at Gallegher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg. Radebe says a task team has been deployed to deal with the issue. “We will ensure that the problem does not occur again,” says Radebe.Yesterday a similar problem occurred again, added Radebe. Security at the conference is very heavy with all the discussions at the conference being held behind closed doors. The only access that journalists is through media conferences. The ANC has however assured that they will allow journalists access to the delegates.
