Amajita’s preparations for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland this month are progressing smoothly in Europe.
This past weekend they beat Qatar 1-0 in an international friendly match that took place in Slovakia, with Thabiso Monyane of Orlando Pirates netting the only goal of the game.
The South African national U20 side kick-off their tournament on 25th of this month and are in Group F against Argentina, Portugal and South Korea. Head coach Thabo Senong looks back at this result.
Amajita still have another warm-up match against Ukraine and possibly Ecuador as they build-up to the tournament.
Senong says this camp is designed for them to fine-tune the team ahead of the tournament.
Senong is still working with the 27-man squad but will soon have to announce his final 21-man team for the U20 World Cup.
