South Africa have successfully defended their Cosafa under-20 championship title. Amajita had to dig deep to beat Zimbabwe in the rain in Kitwe, Zambia.
Lyle Foster who has been in excellent form, scored the equaliser late in the match that ended one-all after regulation time. It then went straight to the penalty shoot-out which Amajita won 4-3. The win now makes this Amajita’s seventh title in the Southern African tournament.
Congratulations to coach @ThaboSenong, his technical team and support staff, and most importantly the @AmajitaU20 players for successfully defending their @COSAFAMEDIA title in Zambia. Well done team ????. Good luck at AFCON next year @SAFA_net @Banyana_Banyana pic.twitter.com/mBPClBu850
