The taxi associated political party Alliance for Transformation for All (ATA) took its election campaign to the Eastern Cape. The party president, Ntsikelelo Gaila addressed at least 3 000 attendants at their provincial rally at Elliotdale on Thursday.

They say they are satisfied with how their message was received by people. They will contest both in the upcoming national and provincial elections.

The party’s national Spokesperson, Zanemvula Zinja says they are ready to transform lives of South Africans.

“What actually caught the attention of the voters in our manifestos (was) the high rate of unemployment, the subsidy of the taxi passengers. We are going to pay the subsidy of our taxi passengers by 50%. If the taxi (costs) R100 for instance, the passenger will pay 50%, the other 50% for by the government, which will be led (by) Alliance for Transformation for All. We will be giving out to taxi owners the permanent permit. We will be improving the rural infrastructure,” says Zinja.
