The bail application of a 30-year-old alleged muthi killer will resume in the Bizana Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape.
It’s alleged that the suspect killed and beheaded a 17-year-old Sinoyolo Mgaga at Nikhwe Location in Bizana.
The suspect’s first court appearance was last year in October where he abandoned a scheduled bail application as he was scared of being attacked by locals.
It’s alleged that the suspect went to the victim’s home, killed, beheaded and mutilated her private parts.
Some of her body parts were recovered at the Nikhwe River. Following the Hawk’s investigation the suspect was arrested last year in October.
The suspect is from the same village as his victim. Police say it’s alleged the body parts were going to be used for muthi.
