Police have arrested a suspect believed to be the infamous Johannesburg arsonist.
The suspect allegedly terrorised residents in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg over the past year.
Fires at homes in the Bryanston, Houghton, Dunkeld, Illovo, Hydepark and surrounding areas have all been linked to this alleged arsonist.
Police acted on a tip-off and located the suspect on foot in Emmarentia.

After almost two years, residents can sleep easy at night knowing that the arsonist who has been terrorising residents in the northern suburbs in Johannesburg was detained and taken into custody last night. We extend our appreciation to the SAPS.”
