An alleged serial rapist from Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape has abandoned his bail application. He made a brief appearance in the Periodical court in Flagstaff on Wednesday.
The suspect has been accused of terrorising women at KwaBhala village. It’s alleged the suspect struck his victims with a blunt object before raping them and throwing them into a river.
The suspect faces two counts of murder and three of rape.
The Council of Churches in the O R Tambo Region says murder, rape and women abuse have spiralled out of control in some rural areas.
