Aliwal North Hospital employees are protesting outside the premises demanding the health department in the Eastern Cape to employ Human Resource personnel, including a hospital HR manager.
Denosa organiser, Lungelwa Duda says they have been negotiating with the department with no positive response.
Duda says two human resource managers were deployed by the regional office but they soon vacated their positions.
She has cited non-payment of overtime as one of the reasons.
The Health Department in the Eastern Cape could not be reached for comment.
