Pitso Mosimane is now set to miss Al Ahly's Egyptian Premier League clash against Ghazl El Mahalla on Friday evening.

African champions Al Ahly have confirmed that their coach South African-born Pitso Mosimane has tested positive for the COVID-19.

The Egyptian side confirmed the news Wednesday afternoon and revealed the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach will remain isolated at home.

Mosimane is now set to miss Al Ahly’s Egyptian Premier League clash against Ghazl El-Mahalla on Friday evening.

The 56-year-old coach ended Ahly’s seven-year wait for the CAF Champions League and led the African giants to a record 9th continental title when his team beat rivals Zamalek in the Cairo derby during the CAF Champions League final.

He joined Al Ahly in September just days after leading Sundowns to a domestic treble in South Africa.
