The Office of the Auditor General (AG) has painted a bleak picture on the 2025/2026 audit outcomes of the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities and the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE).
The AG described the audit findings of both institutions as having relapsed from clean audit outcomes to unqualified audit opinions for the year under review.
The country’s audit institution was giving update on the audit outcomes of the department and the commission.
AG’s Representative and Audit Manager Anelisa Madyongolo says the regression is mainly due to the material findings that the AG has identified in the auditing process.
Madyongolo says, “The Department of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities as well as the Commission for Gender Equality, with regard to those two audits I am not bringing a positive outcomes. ”
She add, “I am bringing chair that there is actual a regression in the audit outcomes of the portfolio with regards with those two audits, and the regression chair is mainly arising from the material findings that were identified on compliance as well as material findings that were identified and reported on performance information.”
