Zimbabwean MP at the Pan African Parliament (PAP) Pupurai Togarepi says given the capacity that Africa has, the continent has done very well in the COVID-19 pandemic fight.
Togarepi says there were notions that were thrown around that Africa would see bigger COVID-19 related disasters than any other part of the World.
The Southern African Regional Caucus of the PAP held a meeting this weekend to discuss issues facing the region. High on its agenda was Mozambique’s struggle with terrorism and the region’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Togarepi adds, ” The people of Africa, our governments put in measures that have assisted to mitigate this disease.”
