It is only uninformed people who do not know the workings of the African Union who have the luxury to talk in a negative manner about the continental organization and a dismal performance of the continent in terms of unity. That’s the word from Egypt’s Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Ali el-Hefni.
Talking informally to journalists in Addis Ababa on the eve of the former Organisation of African Unity’s 50th birthday, el-Hefni said much more than expected have been achieved in terms of Pan Africanism over the past half century.
