During Monday’s State of the Nation Address (SoNA) debate, African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) leader Kenneth Meshoe told President Cyril Ramaphosa to ensure that a new Finance Minister delivered the budget speech Wednesday.

Meshoe wants Ramaphosa to remove current Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba.

He also says the President should implement his plans to fight corruption.

The ACDP calls on President Cyril Ramaphosa to show his intention to urgently root out corruption by starting with his cabinet. On Wednesday, the ACDP wants to see a new Minister of Finance giving the budget speech.

“We want to see captured ministers and deputy ministers who are entangled in a web of corruption, investigated and arrested as soon as possible. Justice must see to be done and done without fear or favour.”
