As the world becomes more digitally inclined, it is important that digital skills training becomes more available for under resourced communities. This is according to Digify Africa’s Qhakazambalikayise Mthembu, who was addressing delegates at the IAB Digital Summit currently underway in Johannesburg.

Mthembu says digital training will ensure that communities are able to transform themselves, ensuring that the necessary skills taught will help improve the lives of a lot of people. “People with internet skills are more likely to be successful” says Mthembu.

She highlights that it is important that education transforms and must be inclusive of digital literacy. Online learning is a area that she notes as an important factor in ensuring that communities are able to transform, thereby ensuring economic growth of African countries.
