Cars flying, crashing and racing around behind the scenes feature in a new stunt teaser trailer for the latest “Fast and Furious” action adventure film.

Buildings and sides of mountains do not escape destruction in “Fast & Furious 9,” as racing driver Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, and his speeding crew try to outsmart villainous Cipher that sees a return by Charlize Theron in the 2017 role.

Justin Lin, director of four of the films in the franchise, returns for the ninth installment which he co-penned and also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Helen Mirren and Kurt Russell.

John Cera joins as Toretto’s little brother Jakob who goes to work for Cipher.

The “Fast and Furious” saga has run for two decades and earned more than $5 billion at the box office worldwide.

Original cast member Paul Walker was seen driving away from Toretto in 2015 down a different mountain road at the end of the seventh film.

The late star, 40, who played cop-turned-car racer Brian O’Conner died in a car accident in 2013.

Walker, an avid car enthusiast, was a passenger in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by Roger Rodas when the vehicle careened into trees and a utility pole in Santa Clarita, northwest of Los Angeles, killing both men in November 2013. Excessive speed was cited as the cause.

“Fast & Furious 9” or “F9” is set for release on 8 July 2021.
