ANC victory is certain: Ramaphosa

African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa has told thousands of supporters who have gathered at the 62 000 seater Ellis Park stadium in Johannesburg that the party is headed for victory. The ANC supporters have packed two stadia including the adjacent 37 000 seater Johannesburg for the Siyanqoba Rally.

Ramophasa says the ANC is set for victory.

The ANC campaign also got a major boost with former presidents Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma who are also expected to attend.

Some political parties are holding their last election rallies ahead of the crucial national elections on Wednesday.

The leader of the ANC in Gauteng and Premier David Makhura says they are expecting over 100 000 supporters at Emirates Park, formerly known as the Ellis Park.

Makhura says for now, their focus are set on the election day. He is confident they will receive a landslide victory in Gauteng and nationally on Wednesday.
