90% of voting districts verified

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) says the results of nine out of every ten voting districts are verified and it has been published.

3722 out of 4468 wards have been completed and 170 out of the 213 municipalities, that took part in Monday’s Local Government Elections 2021, now have completed results.

None of the eight metro councils have yet been completed.

The IEC earlier said that all vote counting has been completed and that they expect the results process to be completed “soon”.

The commission has seven days to finalize the results.
