Reed shot one under par 71 to stay at the summit

Patrick Reed of the USA, the Race to Dubai leader, has been joined at the top of the leaderboard by two englishmen, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Laurie Canter, after the third round of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

The trio are at 11 under par, with a one stroke lead over a chasing quartet of golfers.

The three leaders after the third round include the first placed, second placed and sixth placed golfers in the race to dubai standings.

Reed shot a one under par 71 to stay at the summit, while Fitzpatrick carded a three under 69, and Canter was good for a 4 under 68, to sit at 11 under going into the final round.

In a four way tie for fourth are Lee Westwood of England, 3rd in the race to dubai, Viktor Hovland of Norway, Adri Arnaus of Spain, and Scotland’s Robert Macintyre, all at 10 under par, one shot off the lead.

South Africa’s Branden Grace shot a par score on day three to stay at 6 under with a share of 12th place.

Erik van Rooyen and Brandon Stone are at 5 under par, with Christiaan Bezuidenhout at 4 under, he is ranked 8th in the Race to dubai standings.
