The Electoral Commission (IEC) says five voting stations have not been opened for voting. With just a few hours left until polling stations officially close, officials are appealing to those who have not voted to make their way to polling stations.

The IEC’s Deputy CEO, Masego Shiburi, says stations that have not yet been opened will eventually allow people to cast their votes.

Speaking during a media briefing at the Elections Results Centre in Pretoria, Shiburi said voters who were still in queues by nine o’clock Wednesday night wouldn’t be turned away.
