3 people shot and killed,5 others wounded in drive-by shooting in KZN

Three people have been shot and killed and five others wounded in a drive-by shooting at Inanda, north of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

It is alleged that a group of people were standing outside a school when the occupants of a vehicle opened fire.

It is believed the group of people may have been attending a political committee meeting in the area.

Police spokesperson Jay Naicker.

“There was a group of people standing at the school in the Inanda area when an unknown vehicle drove off and opened fire on the group. At this stage, we received a report of three people that have passed away, that is 3 females,” says Naicker.

Five people have been injured.

“We also received a report of 5 that were injured during the shooting, 4 females and 1 male. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage,” says Naicker.
