Three people have been killed in a fire in Ravensmead in Cape Town. Gift of the Givers spokesperson Ali Sablay says two others have been treated for smoke inhalation.
He says the blaze left 150 people displaced. Sablay says they’re providing humanitarian relief to those affected.
“When our teams got on site, we found 22 structures burnt to the ground leaving 150 people displaced. Unfortunately, there were three fatalities and two people were rushed to hospital for smoke inhalation.”
He adds: “Our teams are on the ground assessing the situation. Our immediate humanitarian response would be a hot nutritious meal, water, baby care packs and blankets.”
