The finalists of the 2018 Fleur du Cap award winning scribe scriptwriting competition have been announced.
This competition is a project by the Imbewu Trust and aims to develop South Africa’s contemporary theatre through this competition.
The competition also offers writers the opportunity to develop their work and for their written play to be presented at a stage reading.
The co-founder of the Imbewu Trust, Paul Griffiths says the competition was designed to give a platform for writers to experiment their new writing, “the competition is to highlight the new writers for the next generation of South African theatre.”
The competition has been running for seven years.
