Emergency Medical Services union Hospersa is considering withdrawing their members’ services to the Health Department.
This comes after an attack on an ambulance in Cape Town last week.
Attacks on paramedic staff have become a common occurrence, with patients also being severely compromised.
The Health and Other Services Personnel Trade Union of South Africa says if the Department of Health doesn’t intervene, they will be forced to halt their services.
