15 arrested for possession of stolen property, including boxes of sheep livers, on the Cape Flats

Fifteen people have been arrested in Philippi on the Cape Flats for allegedly being found in possession of stolen property and sheep livers to the value of half a million rand (R500 000).

Police Spokesperson, FC van Wyk, says the suspects aged between 25 and 35 were pursued after a truck with boxes of sheep livers was stolen in the Killarney Industrial area.

He says the suspects will appear in the Philippi Magistrates Court on Monday.

“2 225 boxes of sheep livers were seized with a value of R 500 000. Fifteen suspects aged between 25 and 35 were arrested and detained on a case of possession of the presumed stolen property. They are due to appear in the Philippi Magistrate court on Monday on the mentioned charges,” says van Wyk.
