The cold temperatures have not stopped Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters from turning out in numbers at the party’s provincial election manifesto launch in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.
The event will be addressed by the party leader, Julius Malema.
Long queues have formed outside the SY Mthimunye stadium with scores of other supporters already inside the stadium.
The EFF is using the event to set out its promises and priorities ahead of the November 4th local government elections.
EFF supporters from different regions spoke about the change they want to see: “To benefit permanent jobs as people with disabilities. Where I work there’s a lot of racism, so we would like EFF to be the party to rule this country. We are tired of racism; we are tired of unemployment.
“ANC is failing us. But today, EFF is going to do better than those people who were leading for more than 30 years,” says another supporter.
If people of eMalahleni #VoteEFF come November 4, the EFF will formalise all informal settlements by providing surveying systems that will ensure all residents have access to basic services such as clean running water, electricity and sanitation amongst others. #VictoryOrDeath pic.twitter.com/wVVX07IJfM
