Each team of about ten people had 67 minutes to pack and seal 3 456 meal packets.

385 children will have one meal every working day of the week for a year, thanks to 600 people who each donated 67 minutes of their time for Mandela Day this month.

All the staff at the Pretoria Estate Company worked in shifts for a day to pack 100 000 nutritionally-balanced meal packets that will be distributed, with the help of Rise for Hunger, to early development centres in the Tshwane Metro area as well as the inner-city.

The staff of a well-known Estate Company swapped their computers for hairnets and gloves to pack 100 000 meal packets. Each team of about ten people had 67 minutes to pack and seal 3 456 meal packets. The daunting task did not dampen their spirits.
