Four Hamas gunmen killed in pre-dawn raid

Israel launched a pre-dawn incursion into the Gaza Strip, killing four Hamas gunmen.

The Israeli Defence Forces say ground troops entered the central Gaza Strip to target militants who launched rockets into the towns bordering the coastal territory. Israel soldiers were also injured in the attack.

Israeli tanks rolled into the coastal area and clashed with Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants. Israel is targeting rocket launchers.

Yesterday it conducted four separate attacks on Gaza and an Israeli soldier was shot by a Palestinian sniper.
