Preparations for what is dubbed the Absa Premiership "Super Sunday" are well on track.
Next Sunday will most probably be when the 2007/08 league title is decided. The fixture is jam packed as eight matches will play simultaneously on the last day to complement the Premiership calendar.
With the league going down to the wire, a helicopter will be on standby to deliver the trophy to the league winner in either Bloemfontein or Durban. The Premier Soccer League has just come out of a meeting where they decided to change their earlier decision of using two replica trophies.
The PSL will await the winner of the league title between Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United. The two teams are playing their final league matches on Sunday in Durban and Bloemfontein respectively. The PSL has now decided to keep a helicopter on standby with the trophy in Harrismith. The final decision will be taken on Thursday after Wednesday's league matches.
United face Golden Arrows, while Ajax will be up against Santos. With two rounds remaining, United have a slender one-point advantage. In their last matches, United play in Bloemfontein, while Ajax are in Durban - a trophy poser for the PSL.
There is also the relegation battle where Jomo Cosmos, Black Leopards and Thanda Royal Zulu are in a fight for survival. Five matches will be broadcast on Sunday - the two involving the title chasers, the two relegation battles and a match that could decide the top eight.
