SAFA boss mum on Santana's salary

Safa's CEO Raymond Hack

Hack will leave for Brazil to wrap up details with the Santana contract

April 23, 2008, 18:45

Safa CEO Raymond Hack has dismissed media reports that newly appointed Bafana Bafana coach Joel Natalino Santana will earn a salary of about R1.5 million a month.

Santana's appointment was officially announced today, ending days of speculation. This follows a recommendation by former coach Carlos Alberto Parreira and Santana's acceptance of the job offer.

Hack leaves for Brazil this weekend to finalise the contract. He says Safa is not worried by the fact that Santana has no coaching experience at international level.
