Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira says the influx of foreign players in South Africa is stifling progress in the national team.
Parreira has included eight new players in his squad to face Zimbabwe in an international friendly next Tuesday. Parreira also included eight players who were at this year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ghana.
Parreira says some of the new faces in the team are Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, SuperSport United striker Kermit Erasmus, and Amazulu midfielder Bafo Biyela.
