Bafana beat Mauritius 2-0

Bafana will face Chad this weekend in the African Cup of Nations qualifier

Bafana Bafana have advanced to the semifinal of the Southern Africa Championship Group B tournament.

The South Africans beat Mauritius 2-0 in a match played at the Somhlolo stadium in Swaziland this afternoon. Both goals were scored by Teko Modise.

"This was for the future," said Carlos Parreira, the Bafana coach about what was essentially a B-team. "We gave 18 promising players exposure at international level and learnt a lot about their potential at the same time."
