The South African sevens team received a massive boost ahead of the last two legs of the International Rugby Board's Sevens series.
Jonathan Mokuena has been declared fit, while the Stormers have released Gio Aplon to travel with the team to London and Edinburgh. The Springbok Seven's side has seen at least four changes to the side which won the Adelaide tournament. Renfred Deyzel and Mzwandile Stick are injured and Robert Ebersohn and Wilton Pietersen have been selected for the SA under-20 side. Mokuena and Aplon's inclusion is good news for coach Paul Treu.
There is also an outside chance that Stefan Basson could join the side pending approval from the SA Rugby Union. The Springboks can still win the overall title but that means New Zealand will have to slip up badly, which is not likely since the Kiwi's featured in every single final of this year's competitions.
