Springbok Rugby World Cup winning manager, Zola Yeye, has turned down a request from SA Rugby to be interviewed for the post of the new Springbok team manager.
Two former Springbok managers, Gideon Sam and Athrob Peterson, have also been invited. But Yeye says if SA Rugby wanted him, they should have extended his contract, not invite him for an interview.
Yeye was the first black Springbok manager to be part of a World Cup winning team. Sam was manager of the team involved in Kamp Staaldraad, while Peterson lost his job after a fallout with former Springbok coach Jake White.
