The South African netball team is drawing inspiration from their Springbok counterparts ahead of their world championship campaign. The championship takes place in Auckland, New Zealand, from November 10 - 17.
They are currently ranked fifth in the world but that does not bother them. However, the president of SA Netball says a lack of sponsorship is holding them back.
"Countries that are doing well, like New Zealand, are being run professionally and that's our goal. So if we can get sponsors, we would realise that goal sooner," says NSA president Miemie Mthethwa.
The main sponsors, however, came up with a nice surprise. If the team qualifies for the quarterfinals, they will get R200 000 and if they win the tournament - a whopping R1 million.
