Rural doctors in KZN accused of misconduct

KZN health department probes charges of misconduct laid against doctors

KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC, Peggy Nkonyeni, has appointed a task team to investigate allegations of misconduct by doctors working in the rural Umkhanyakude District in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Two doctors have been accused of using racial slurs and misbehavior.

Health spokesperson, Leon Mbangwa, says the doctors are guilty of misconduct which includes using theatre facilities to operate on a dog and some allegations include assaulting their fellow workers. The doctors are also accused of damaging property and calling black people baboons.
