Govt to improve health care in rural areas

September 30, 2007, 16:30

Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang has pledged that her department will do its best to ensure that people in rural areas have access to health facilities. She was officially opening the Otimati clinic at kwaMaphumulo in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The clinic will provide quality healthcare services to thousands of KwaMaphumulo residents. Tshabalala-Msimang has urged the community to take full responsibility in keeping the clinic and its surroundings clean.

She’s also expected to address the community at Sabuyaze Sports ground as part of the commemoration of World Heart Day.
