KZN toddler killed by boiling porridge

A one-year-old baby has died at Umlazi after a pot of boiling porridge fell on her.

Police Spokesperson Khephu Ndlovu says Noluthando Mkhize's grandmother left the porridge on the stove and went outside with the baby.

The baby later crawled back into the house and pulled the pot over and burned herself. “… the kid was then seriously injured and was taken to hospital for medical attention... later we received information that the kid died on the way.”
