SABC briefing to Parliament postponed

Today's briefing to Parliament by top management of the SABC on its annual budget and strategic plans has been postponed until tomorrow.

Committee members say they want all board members to be present and not only the SABC Chairperson and Group CEO Dali Mpofu. Chairperson Kanyisiwe Mkonza told the committee it was normal practice that not all board members attend the briefing to Parliament.

However committee members say there are a number of issues they want to raise, which requires all board members to be present. This includes the working relationship between Mkonza and Mpofu, and whether the strategic plans have the full support of all board members.
