The KwaZulu-Natal Traditional Healers Association has criticised the use of human body parts to cure diseases.
The association's president, Jerico Mhlongo, says the practice degrades the values of traditional medicine.
A man was arrested in Umsinga recently after he was found with a human head which he allegedly intended to sell to a traditional healer.
Mhlongo says it is wrong to use body parts for muthi.
