Scores of people have been left homeless after a fire gutted about 100 shacks at a Reservoir Hills squatter camp north of Durban. One person has been injured in the blaze.
Emergency services spokesperson, Alfred Newman says the fire started this evening and quickly spread through New Germany road. He says they have been able to put the fire out and are currently damping it down.
Newman says disaster management will be assisting all those that have been displaced.
